No-Stress Virginia Homeschool Evaluations
With a licensed teacher who recognizes the many ways children demonstrate learning, progress, and growth.

What is a Homeschool Evaluation?
In Virginia, homeschool families are required to submit proof
of progress each year by August 1. Most families meet this
requirement in one of two ways: a standardized test or an
evaluation conducted by a licensed teacher. Evaluations are a
great fit for families whose younger students, students who
don’t test well, or those for those who may not perform well in
a traditional testing environment.

How Does It Work?
01
Brief Pre-Meeting Survey
You’ll complete a short form to help me understand your child’s learning experiences and progress over the year.
02
Share Work Samples
You’ll choose a small selection of your child’s work that reflects their learning in areas like math, reading, writing, and any other subjects you’d like to include.
03
Short, Relaxed Meeting
We’ll meet (virtually) for approximately 30 minutes. This is a low-pressure, child-friendly conversation where I review progress and briefly connect with your child. Student participation is encouraged but flexible.
04
Receive Your Evaluation Letter
Within 48 hours, you’ll receive a written evaluation letter from me confirming your child’s progress. You’ll submit this with your end-of-year documentation by the August 1st deadline.
